I made a Japanese traditional sweet potato dessert called chakin-shibori (chakin=a cloth used for the tea ceremony, shibori=squeeze, twist), which comes in many varieties. I used purple sweet potatoes and added a filling of chestnuts this time! It's simple, pretty and delicious! For the toppings, I added a chestnut piece (left) and edible yellow chrysanthemum petals (right).
